The Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve
I was fortunate to live on the marsh from 1975 to 1999. For me it was a great introduction to nature, and over the years it's been a continuous inspiration. The Carpinteria Salt Marsh is one of the last remaining coastal wetlands in Southern California, and serves as a successful reminder when the local community and environmental agencies come together to restore, conserve and protect the natural environment and all its inhabitants. The images below are some of my favorites taken over the years throughout the serpentine channels, mudflats and pickleweed.
